I cannot see how things can be simplified any further. And I don’t think they should be.
In fact, simplifying it is the real condescending act here. You think so little of them that you decide they simply CANNOT learn to use the interface. IMO they should simply be offered an interface, and encouraged to stick with it until they figure it out. They can, many times.

Of course if it’s true that they simply can’t do it, then they deserve the condescension.
